Day 2: Summer

We spent all day at the soccer field today, after leaving our house at 6:45 am this morning. I loved it and am exhausted!

Charlie’s team won the championships and was so happy! I was excited for him to be on a winning team this year with an excellent coach and great team. It was really fun to be on the sidelines and supporting him with Jeff and the other families.

Life is good.

P.S. I am sad today about the mass shootings in Orlando. Those families are our families. Their pain is our pain. We are One. We can make a difference in this world by spreading love and acceptance and forgiveness. Be loving. Love you. Love others. Love us. One Love. No Hate.

You’ve Got Mail!

The door bell rang while we were just hanging out with friends. We weren’t expecting anyone else just then. Charlie said there was an Amazon truck parked outside. I hadn’t ordered anything recently so I was curious as to why they were knocking on my door.

It was my lucky day!  The package was for me and it was a gift from my sister! You have no idea but I LOVE surprises for no reason and today was one of those surprise kinda days.

Thank you my sister for loving me and surprising me with a thoughtful book! I can’t wait to read it and I’ve only got 10 pages left in the current book I’m reading !!

Thanks a million!! I’m already happy and haven’t even opened it up yet!

Have you surprised someone lately??

Favorite Snack Food

What is your favorite, irresistible snack food that you LOVE to eat?

These are mine. I absolutely love everything about them, except for the sticky orange stuff that sticks to my fingers and the calories, of course. I love the crunchiness and saltiness of them and they bring back sweet memories of my teenage years.

Luckily they aren’t in the house that often!! What do you love?:

Namaste.

Twilight Run

The weather and lighting has been gorgeous and I’ve been busy working inside, longing to go outside and play.

I decided to put on my running shoes and to get outside before the sun was completely set and to  enjoy the last hour of the day.

Even though I ran like a slug, I was just happy to be moving outside and feeling my lungs working hard to breathe. I loved letting my hair down and seeing and feeling it bounce it around.

I don’t normally exercise at night and I’m enjoying the change in routine and a refreshing night time shower.

Shaking it up!

Ahhhh…life is good.

Have you shaken up your routine lately? It’s invigorating!

Wine or Work Out?

Tonight I chose to work out instead of relaxing with a glass of wine or ice cream. It was a tough decision, but I’m smiling now. I bet I’ll sleep better too! I put on my work out clothes this morning with the  thought of working out first thing and the day slipped away. I’m glad I still had my running shoes on after the dinner dishes were done and made my way to the garage instead of the couch. Baby steps…or actually 3.53 miles!  Yay, for the little changes.

What little changes did you get to make today?

Wishing you well.

Goodnight. xo

Little Miles

Today I was thankful for squeezing in time to run and shower in the middle of the day.

This is the first year I am a working mom on spring break with 3 kids home.  Luckily one can drive and is really helpful. I am thankful for a flexible schedule that allows me to integrate work and play all day.

Life is good.
