14 Years ago, we traveled to Holland and visited our family’s wooden shoe factory, where the owner carved these especially for me. They’ve been sitting on my porch now for the past 11 years but are getting ready to travel back to where they came from… do you want to know why?

I love that they are all weathered now. I love that they sat on my porch for so many years, wondering why I had them there. I love putting them on, even though they hurt my feet, and remembering the factory and the cobbler who made them just for me. I love how other people try them on and ask questions about who wears these and why I have them. Cool, huh? LYB xoxo
