Day 24: Summer

Happy Independence Day, America!

It was a gorgeous day to be with family and friends and to enjoy the day together.

We helped out with our friend’s rummage sale early this morning. Afterwards, I was so lucky that everyone in my family rallied to go on a hike with me! This is a hard feat to master these days and I was  giddy with excitement!

When we got back from the hike, Jeff and I prepared some tritips to smoke on the Traeger for a neighbor’s BBQ. He tended to the steaks and when they were ready, we all joined the festivities.

Finally, we ventured out to catch the fireworks. When we thought we found a nice spot to park our blankets and chairs on the local high school’s grass, the sprinklers went on and sprayed everyone, which made me laugh uncontrollably.  I love stupid humor and innocent stupid stuff that doesn’t harm anyone, but is just uncomfortable to watch that you just have to laugh.

Today was good! The only thing we had planned today was the 5:00 BBQ. The rest of the day just flowed with the open space. Maybe, just maybe, I’m getting the hang of this.

Happy 4th of July!

Love, Adriana

Bubble Soccer

The boys played bubble soccer today at their end of the season soccer party and everyone had a good time, watching and playing. It was hilarious to watch them bumping into each other and trying to get up again. I would definitely recommend this for a party!

June is a busy month for us and it feels like Christmas time with all the commitments and celebrations.  Maybe bubble soccer will help us to remember to go with the flow, to let things bounce off of us, to get back up when we fall and to laugh along the way!

Life is good! Stay calm and cool.

Love(h)er

This is love.

I love this girl with all my heart. She is my soul sister and BFF.

It’s so nice to go through life with her as my passenger.  I love the way she thinks and talks and laughs. I love being near her and feeling her presence and I’m so proud of her.

Today we didn’t have a plan and it was a perfect day. We got up early and had our coffee together. We ate a little breakfast and then decided to visit my happy place for a hike without the kids. Exercising together is the perfect way to start a day.

When we were done, we shopped together for lunch and dinner. We took the kids to the pool and enjoyed watching them enjoy one another.

Later, the little one danced and the next youngest played the drums, while we worked the kitchen.

It was a perfectly unplanned day and I loved it! I love her and am so glad she’s still here with me.

Life is good!! Who are your favorite peeps to be free with?

Goodnight BeLoveRs.
